I started with no knowledge of the language whatsoever. The teachers are super friendly and they definitely know how to teach. Within the 2 weeks I learned so much, not just about the language but also about the country and I am super grateful! Also they are flexible when it comes to the schedule. I wanted to change a few dates, because I was doing touristy stuff and it was never a problem.

I originally booked 4 weeks of classes and ended up staying 7 because I didn't want to leave!! The teachers are not just Spanish speakers, they all studied it at university and can therefore answer all of your questions. They're also super nice. What I liked most was the fact that the classes were very small and that they organized activities almost every day: dinners with the other students, visit of some places of the cities (escaleras, centro, etc), day-trip (Guatape) and they even had tastings of local food or fruits during the break some days!! Also, for those afraid of safety, the school is located in the heart of the safe area of Medellin, where there are no problem whatsoever.

I was welcomed with warm smiles as i first walked through the front door. They do a quick test to check what level you are and quickly assign you to a class. After 3 weeks from knowing no Spanish what so ever, i am now able to have small conversations and navigate around.

I have taken Spanish classes in Costa Rica, Panama, Cartagena and the U.S. Total Spanish in Medellin was by far the best. The teachers are fabulous and they make school feel like family. And Medellin can't be beat as a place to study. I now live on Medellin and still study at Total Spanish. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I spent 2 months in Total Spanish and it was one of the best decisions I made during my time in Colombia. Initially, I knew little to no Spanish and when I left here I was conversational and able to travel through Colombia comfortably with what I learned. The instructors are helpful, enthusiastic and patient! I gained so much knowledge from Oscar and Diana. Also, Cindy and Sara are more than accommodating and work hard to ensure a well-rounded experience!
